Feelin' Lucky?
This was on my friend's blog and it sounded like fun. I'm always up for an excuse to use some of my crafty brain cells. (It's a nice change from watching Barbie all day long.) :) ...and just think, you could have something especially made for you by ME! (A real treat... I know!) So you gotta ask yourself... 'Do I feel lucky?' :) ...
The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me!
My choice. For you.
This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2. What I create will be just for you.
3. It'll be done this year.
4. You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be srapbooky, or sewn or maybe even some creation I haven't even invented yet. I may draw or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you.
Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5. I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me!
Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

Today is so beautiful. We layed out on the tramp this afternoon doing NOTHIN'. My, it was wonderful. I wish I lived in a different era, when every minute of your life isn't scheduled. It reminded me of those good ol' days in Idaho on the neighborhood tramp. My friend Susan made me laugh when she reminded me of our fun times. I hope I remember how crazy we were when Kayla gets older. She IS a teenager now. She has only acted like it for that last five years. Kayla's colorguard team got second yesterday. I still haven't got to see them perform. What kind of mother am I? I just admitted to my mother, I let Bailey go to the Jonas Brothers on a Sunday. She might fire me from motherhood. Although, she said it might be OK if she isn't swimming. That is the ultimate bad Sunday thing. Only one more week until spring break. We are going to San Antonio, and hopefully Jason, Lacee, and Anna will get to join us. We are excited to have NOTHIN' to do. If anyone wants to join us doin' NOTHIN' come on down!

Cutie Pic of Kennedi, Nadia, and Bailey
Aren't they adorable? Bailey starts Young Women's in March. I can't believe it. I have to tell ya'll a funny story. One of our Baileyisms. So, the other day, I was thinking about Bailey going into Young Women's so I said to Bailey, "Bailey, aren't you excited for what is going to happen in a few months?" Bailey looked at my a little quizzedly (word?) and said, "What mom? Puberty?" THAT is SO Bailey.
And We're Off!
Can you believe we are almost a month into the new year? I can't. I hope 09' turns out to be oh, fine. It has started a little rough, so I figure, we can only go up from here, right?
The girls and I went ice skating in downtown Houston. Imagine that. I was a beautiful day. We had so much fun. We went with our friends, Miss Dana and Kennedi, and Miss Marisol, and Nadia. We think they are all SO awesome. They have been true friends and I owe them the world. Thanks to both of you for calling or letting me know your thinking of us. (especially when I was hanging on by a thread) A thread I tell you. Anyway...... Here are some picks of our awesome day.

OH MY HECK!
Ok, so I know that saying may be very annoying, but it is so apropos. It snowed. How lovely is that? We had a perfect night. We took our activity day girls to carol and hand out cards at a nursing home. It was fairly cold when we went in, and kind of sleeting. Inside, the girls sang beautifully. The spirit was so strong, I started to cry. I looked over at my music leader, and she was as well. It was very touching. And then to top it off, when we came out, SNOW. My heaven, you would have thought it was snowing Susan B. Anthony's. The girls were elated. (of course, no camera-but we came home and took pics!) YEAH. What a great Christmas gift.

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas
I have been chastised repeatedly about not updating since IKE, sooo.... here we go. We have been CRAZY busy, and I kept thinking to myself, "Self, after your sister's wedding, things will go back to normal." I can apparently lie to my self. Speaking of the wedding, it was fabulous. The absolute perfect fall day in Idaho. It wasn't cold, the sun was shining, and it was beautiful. The ceremony was certainly one of the best ceremonies I have ever been too. My sister, Cheryl, and her new husband, Dan, were sealed by the Rexburg Temple president. I will have to have an entry dedicated to the wedding. After we returned to Texas, mom and dad came for the reception here, then the week immediately following that we had our primary program. (The primary kid were wonderful) After that, we have been trying to get the house back in order, (another entry). Which apparently will take longer than we had hoped because the mortgage company will only give us our money in thirds. AAAGGGG!! I hate insurance and mortgage companies. This quickly brings us up to the Thanksgiving holiday. Jason and Lacey, Jared's brother and his wife, came down for the weekend. We are so excited to see the baby!! And now on to Christmas. I do love this relaxing time of year.
